June EPS acquires the intellectual/property rights and all other assets of Vikonics Inc., a security system manufacturing organization.
May EPS is awarded the EDS Small Business Award for 2001 for its outstanding support provided in the NMCI program.
April The United Nations approves EPS as a vendor.


November EPS adopts a new brand identity and expands to locations in Huntsville, AL; Columbia, MD; Eatontown, NJ; Lawton, OK; and Beijing, China.


December EPS is awarded a multi-year OPMAS-E DRAGON Commercialization Communications System subcontract to provide full operations and maintenance support for the peacekeeping forces in Kosovo and Macedonia.
October EPS is awarded the prime contract for the Modernization and Improvement of the AN/PRC-122 Survival Radio. EPS and its team modernized and improved the AN/PRC-112 Survival Radio for the U.S. Army CECOM. In addition, EPS provided radios, integrated logistics support and spare parts under this 10-year program with total value of $25M.
