Mechanical Engineer


EPS Mission Support Services Division is seeking applicants to fill a Mechanical Engineer position, located in Panama City Beach, Florida. This position is in support of our recently awarded Seaport-e Task Order supporting the Intelligent Sensing Operational Support (ISOS) effort. This position may require CONUS travel in support of fielding, testing, and development of R&D systems. Travel is approximately 10% of the assignment.

Experience with the following is required:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of mechanical design with a demonstrated hands-on background in modeling, prototype work, design and analysis
  • Real world experience with Naval systems is preferred.
  • Applying fluids and power systems engineering principles (i.e., heat transfer, mechanical design and failure mechanisms, etc.) to planning and executing technical projects
  • Hands-on experience and capabilities in design, development, and application of unique equipment systems and subsystems requiring the application of advanced scientific and engineering theories, concepts, and principles
  • Working through technical problems that arise during project execution
  • Hands-on experience in planning, design, development, constructing, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field preferred
  • Experience working with drawing standards including tolerances and detailed drawings
  • Basic skills in computer aided engineering (CAE) software such as Solid works, AutoCAD, MATLAB, etc
  • Basic analytical and problem solving skills for the design and testing of prototype(s) through product release
  • Basic interpersonal skills to interact with customers, team members, vendors and contractors
  • Basic organization and time management skills
  • Ability to use common power and hand tools and electrical and tolerance measuring devices and equipment for the development of prototypes
  • Applicants selected for this position will require an active DoD Secret clearance
The following experience is highly desired:
  • Experience with robotics and/or Underwater Unmanned Systems (UUV’s)
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance preferred, Secret Clearance required.

Drafter - SolidWorks


EPS Corporation is seeking a qualified Drafter for a temporary 3 – 6 months full time opportunity located in the Melbourne, FL area.

This position will be responsible for technical drawings based on the specifications of engineers. CAD design with SolidWorks modeling experience required. Knowledge of ACAD 2D and 3D, experience with Rhino 3D preferred.

Proposal Manager


EPS Corporation is a leading Federal Contractor. We are currently looking for a smart, motivated Proposal Manager with expertise in Bid and Proposal operations for Information Technology-focused companies or divisions supporting Federal Government clients. In this role, you will work out of our company location in Eatontown, NJ.

This role is critical to our organization, and the right candidate will be capable of and comfortable with having and leveraging the inherent and earned authority to drive and manage proposal efforts, at many times managing multiple concurrent major and minor responses. You will be the person responsible for managing the full life cycle from, solicitation to submission, proposal activity for EPS for assigned proposals.

In this role, you will establish and develop close working relationships with our executive team as well as our contracts team, HR team, directors, program managers, and technical experts.

We work as a team, and wear multiple hats, sharing the effort to get to the finish line. To be successful you must be a self-motivated and perseverant worker with a 'get it done' attitude. You must be extremely resourceful, creative, and excellent at organizing, tracking, and managing multiple concurrent projects.

Your ability to extract results from various parties in a polite but firm manner is critical.

Ideal candidate characteristics include strong analytical abilities, decision making skills, sound business judgment, and excellent communication, negotiating and planning skills. You should be adaptive to change.

The dedicated support staff for this role includes a Proposal Coordinator, who tracks opportunities, maintains the Bid and Proposal internal portal, and manages minor and some major response efforts. The team includes a graphics design specialist who is committed to support the B&P team for major efforts, as well as maintain graphics libraries.

The following activities will constitute the majority of your responsibilities, though this is not an exhaustive list:
  • Manage major and minor proposal efforts. The level of support required ranges from cradle to grave management of major efforts, to coordination support for smaller efforts.
  • Perform a careful, detailed analysis of solicitations, including RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, TOs, etc. resulting in a thorough understanding of items required for a compliant response including development of a requirements matrix, and the ability to create and deliver briefs on response requirements and schedule.
  • Stand up proposal working sites using SharePoint, create proposal outlines and schedules, and develop kick off briefs for both internal and external audiences. Prepare for and conduct kick-off meetings, align resources with proposal requirements, make writing assignments and direct team members to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Manage diverse teams from prime, subcontractor, and consultant organizations.
  • Schedule and manage color reviews, including scheduling and managing to pens-down deadlines pre-review and consolidating and formatting master documents for each volume for each color review.
  • Manage configuration integrity, including version control, of evolving proposal artifacts using SharePoint.
  • Review proposal sections for consistency and clarity, compliance with RFP/RFI/RFQ requirements, and alignment with proposed solutions and themes
  • Provide formatting, proofing, and editing of documents throughout the response cycle.
  • Manage and perform production activities.
  • Oversight of the document libraries and content within the corporate proposal portal including bid and proposal materials, boilerplate, active and archived proposals.
  • Familiarize yourself thoroughly with, and maintain a strong understanding of our range of services and products, strategic partnerships, past performance and past responses.
In order to be successful in this role, we expect that qualified candidates will have the following skills and experience:
  • A Secret or TS Clearance is preferred but not required; the willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of three years of progressive relevant experience required.
  • Proven ability to deliver in a role exactly like this. If you have been successfully operating in a Proposal Director or Lead Proposal Manager role for a smaller IT government contractor company with responsibility for proposal efforts, full life cycle, and a successful track record of managing and winning large, complex Federal Government proposals
  • Must have extensive experience with multi-faceted proposals requiring client reference checks, technical volumes, past performance volumes, price/cost volumes, and management volumes.
  • Strong knowledge of the Federal Government procurement process, experience with managing full life cycle proposal efforts for Federal Civilian, DoD, and Intelligence Community customers, experience with commercial proposals, and experience in managing and coordinating the work of multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Exceptionally good MS Word formatting skills and desktop publishing capability, including master documents, styles, custom templates, embedding objects, version comparison and combination, and content controls.
  • Exceptional time management skills and, critically, the willingness and ability to deliver high quality work under aggressive deadlines.

Proposal Coordinator


EPS is currently seeking a Proposal Coordinator for our Eatontown, NJ corporate Proposal Development organization. The Proposal Coordinator supports teams of technical, contracts, and pricing personnel and assists in the full lifecycle of developing responses to US Federal Government RFPs, RFIs, and Sources Sought notices in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Our ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree preferably in a technical field or have equivalent related experience, 3 to 5 years of successful Federal proposal experience.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Analyzes solicitations to establish proposal content requirements.
  • Develops proposal master calendar/schedule and prepares outlines/templates.
  • Assists in preparation of materials for and conduct of proposal kickoff calls and in-process status reviews.
  • Ensures documentation control of solicitation and proposal files.
  • Assists in development of compliance matrices.
  • Assists in location of past proposal content for adaption as required.
  • Creates data calls tailored to the needs of a specific proposal.
  • Prepares resumes and past performance write-ups.
  • Produces proposal graphics based on solicitation requirements and other inputs.
  • Ensures distribution of Past Performance Questionnaires.
  • Responds to data calls from prime bidders and works with others to obtain needed information as required.
  • Prepares and distributes proposal materials for team review.
  • Oversee production of final proposal volumes / files for submittal.
  • Ensures proposal delivery is made on time and in accordance with submission instructions.
  • Performs administrative duties in support of the Proposal Production team as assigned.
