Security Technician I


EPS Corp. is currently seeking a Security Technician in the Ft Meade, MD area with opportunity for deployment. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of maintaining CCTV, Access Control, Intercom and Alarm systems in all facets especially related to Government. Position requires an Active TS/SCI clearance.

Under limited supervision the Security Technician must be able to install and troubleshoot complex technical and physical security systems. They must be familiar with all aspects of installation & repair of security systems, interfaces, access control, camera systems, card/proximity readers, various sensors and door lock, cabling, terminating, blueprint reading, support structures and testing procedures, as well as video surveillance, motion detection and temperature variation detection. The Security Technician will be responsible for the installation, configuration, test, training and maintenance of physical security electronic, mechanical and CCTV equipment. Positions Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Installs, configures, tests, and provides training and maintenance on project components.
  • Installs components and wirings on Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Access Control Systems (ACS), and Closed Circuit Televisions (CCTV).
  • Configures security systems and related equipment.
  • Ensures work is in accordance with applicable codes and standard practices.
  • Provides system turnover to customers including training.
  • Troubleshoots, diagnoses and recommends potential solutions for system errors and failures.

Qualifications:

  • Experience installing, terminating, and testing shielded and unshielded twisted pair, coaxial, multimode and single-mode fiber optic cabling per applicable standards and codes.
  • Must be proficient in performing visual quality control inspection of cabling work, operating copper and fiber test equipment, analyzing test results, correcting deficiencies, and presenting test results in native format.
  • Must be proficient with all related cabling tools (punch down, drills, saws, hand tools, etc.).
  • Must be safety conscious, putting safety first, and familiar with standard site safety procedures.

EPS Mission Support Services Division is seeking applicants to fill a Network Administration Technician position, located in Panama City, Florida.

Responsible for providing on-site Deployable Joint Command and Control (DJC2) technical support at the Combatant Command (COCOM) garrison and deployed locations where DJC2 is fielded. Experience and competence with the applications/subsystems/networks, etc. in the DJC2 system or similar environment employing a Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) system.

Experience with the following is required:

  • Understands the concepts and guidelines behind traditional routing, security and data center system design. Provides internal and external guidance on key customer security issues.
  • Possesses a detailed understanding of routing protocols surrounding IP Service Provider and/or Enterprise networks including: TCP/IP fundamentals, IP sub-netting and super-netting and hierarchical routing principles, Routing protocol operation (OSPF, BGP-4), general understanding of MPLS L2 and L3 VPNs and the associated tunneling technologies (GRE, IPsec, etc.), network/router security and common/best practices.
  • Employs expert level troubleshooting methodology to isolate and identify configuration, design, and software anomalies; clearly articulates findings in written and verbal communications
  • Tracks tasking orders, operational orders, accreditation status, inspection schedules, and other time sensitive information.
  • Provides hands-on configuration and operational knowledge of vendor products and their operation (e.g. Brocade, Cisco, Juniper, etc…).
  • Provides a Critical Incident Report (CIR) for any degradation of these services to appropriate personnel IAW established Government procedures and timelines. Gather information and track outages until connectivity is restored and provide updates until systems are fully restored.
  • Receives and prepares electronic notifications to the users on all scheduled network outages.
  • Possesses the ability to troubleshoot fielded systems, test new systems/configurations in a lab environment, and actively participates in technical meetings.
  • Provides expert level relationship management, communications skills and interpersonal skills to manage face to face communications on a daily basis with multiple levels of customer management and engineering staff.

SATCOM Mission Planner


EPS Mission Support Services Division is seeking applicants to fill a SATCOM Mission Planner position, located in Panama City Beach, Florida. This position is in support of our Seaport-e Task Order supporting the Technical Engineering, Integration and Production of the Deployable Joint Command and Control (DJC2) System Information Technology and Communications equipment. This position may require travel CONUS and OCONUS in support of fielding, testing, and operation of deployed DJC2 systems. Travel will be less than 15% of the assignment.

Experience with the following is required:
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a SATCOM Mission Planner.
  • Ability to perform as the program’s primary SATCOM Mission Planner on satellite communications (SATCOM) to include: commercial and mobile satellite services (MSS), Ultra High Frequency (UHF), Super High Frequency (SHF), Very High Frequency (VHF), and Extremely High Frequency (EHF) spectrums.
  • Must be able to coordinate with Regional SATCOM Support Center (RSSC) SATCOM managers to process Satellite Access Request (SAR), and Gateway Access Request (GAR) for multiple simultaneous missions.
  • Ability to author SAR/GAR requests and forward them to the Regional SATCOM Support Center Continental United States using the online Joint Integrated Satellite Communications Tool (JIST).
  • Must be very familiar with the online Joint SATCOM Management and Planning System (JSMPS). Completion of training in this system, and operational experience entering and developing SAR/GARs using JSMPS is a must.
  • Operational experience with the following: USC-60A Flyaway Tri-Band Satellite Terminal (FTSAT), IPT Mil Suitcase satellite system (USC-68), Hawkeye III family of terminals, AN/PRC-152 Multiband Handheld Radio , Promina (NX-1000 IP Access Switch preferred), PRC-117 radios, Global Broadcast System (GBS) receivers, and Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers, IP and Enhanced Bandwidth Efficient Modem (EBEM) modems. The ability to assist with troubleshooting and mission support remotely for these systems is required.
