Scope:
To engineered, furnished, installed, and tested (EFI&T) a fiber optic backbone link within the Kingdom of Belgium, from NATO Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium to the U.S. Army Garrison (USAG) Brussels

Period of Performance:
30-April-2007 to 30-April-2008

U.S. Air Force Emergency Mass Notification System (EMNS)

EPS engineered, furnished, installed, and tested (EFI&T) a fiber optic backbone link within the Kingdom of Belgium, from NATO Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium to the U.S. Army Garrison (USAG) Brussels the project included:

Obtaining all necessary permits, licenses and approvals from local Belgium government to perform the work.
Coordinated all engineering, implementation and testing with the Government Installation Coordinator, local Director of Engineering and Housing (Directorate of Public Works (DPW)), and local Signal Battalion
Performing pre-survey and final survey and obtained COR approval of the proposed cable routes.
2 Kilometers of trenching and installing conduit and manhole system
Installed and tested 2.8 kilometers of 24 Strand G655 SM fiber optic cable.
After Acceptance provide 36 months providing monthly Cable Plant Administration Reports to the COR that describe all inquiries and responses concerning the EPS-furnished fiber optic link.
