Army Infrastructure Modernization (IMOD) Acquisition Supporting Installation Information Infrastructure Modernization Program (I3MP)

cabelingEPS is a prime contractor for the United States Army’s Infrastructure Modernization (IMOD) Program, which supports the Army’s Installation Information Infrastructure Modernization Program (I3MP). I3MP provides for the engineering, acquisition, implementation and management of the Army's base level telecommunications infrastructure (voice/data/cable/long-haul gateway) to include the hardware and software required to manage the enterprise at Army posts, camps and stations worldwide. IMOD is a set of ten (10) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contracts to support the upgrade and modernization of enterprise enabled voice and data networks worldwide. IMOD is the successor to the Digital Switched Systems Modernization Program (DSSMP), for which EPS was also a prime contract holder, and which expired on 1 July 2007.

The Period of Performance (POP) consists of a five (5)-year base period, and one five (5)-year option period which the U.S. Army has expressed their intent to exercise. The range of delivery order types to support Engineering, Furnishing, Installation and Testing (EFI&T) efforts is expected to include Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Cost Reimbursement (CR), Time and Materials (T&M), or any combination thereof.

As a prime contractor EPS is currently deploying the Campus Area Network (CAN) at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD in support of the C4ISR mission that is relocating from Fort Monmouth NJ. Valued at $8.2M the project spans 10 multi-purpose buildings involving the installation of over 175 Layer II switches and 3 independent networks Non-Secure Internet Protocol Network (NIPERNET), Secure Internet Protocol Network (SIPRNET) & Defense Research & Engineering Network (DREN).
